Fantastical is one of those apps that prevents me from ever going back to Windows.įantastical has won Mac app of the year award (2020), and is both visually beautiful as well as functional. ($4.75/mo) Fantastical is one of those must-have calendaring apps that is supported across the Apple ecosystem (macOS, iOS, iPadOS, WatchOS). Note: Download 1Password for Mac directly from their website. 1Password’s 128-bit secret key adds the critical extra layer of protection that Infosec professionals trust. I would not say that of any other cloud based password manager, as most all other apps rely solely on a master password to decrypt your vault. When done right ( like what 1Password does), storing a password vault in the cloud does not really increase the risk of your vault being decrypted by a threat actor. There’s a big misconception that storing passwords in the cloud is less secure than storing them locally. 1Password also has support for Passkeys, which is the future of secure logins. 1Password also has routine 3rd party security audits, which they publicly publish the results. If you are using any password manager other than 1Password I would urge you to strongly consider migrating. Infosec professionals that I’ve seen lately only recommend two options for password management: 1Password and Bitwarden.ġPassword has much stronger protection of your password vault than Bitwarden ( 128-bit secret key plus your master password vs. Security researcher after researcher pick 1Password as the best option, with an extremely high bar for security. Given the recent Lastpass security breaches, and their horrific security practices coming to light (not to mention their deceptive public statements and even outright lies), using a highly trusted password manager is a must. It has clients for macOS, iOS, Windows, Android, Linux, and many browser extensions including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Brave, and Edge. You can even pixelate a part that you don’t want to be visible.(From $2.99/mo) 1Password is an awesome cross-platform password and privacy manager. You can even add text and all this with a quite striking aesthetic without neglecting seriousness. From cutting it to being able to include certain elements such as circles, arrows and other shapes. Now, the star function at this point is editing, where you will find a multitude of options. Once you have it located there, you can save it in the folder you have chosen for these screenshots, copy it to the clipboard, share it through AirDrop, email or any other application that you have installed and allow it. Once you have taken the capture you will see that a small preview will appear in the same way as the native ones, only that they will be located in the left corner instead of the right. Like there is the possibility of hiding the desktop icons if you do not want them to be visible in the capture. In addition to these types of captures we find some other very outstanding functions such as the possibility of adding a timer to capture an area. Very useful if you want to capture an area that includes more space than is shown on the screen and this is one of the most prominent points of the application due to the absence of this function natively.
